The da Vinci Robotic System

The gynecologic oncologists at Virginia Oncology Associates use the da Vinci robotic system as part of their minimally invasive treatment regimen. This technology allows the surgeon to have improved dexterity, visualization, and control. The advantages for the patient can include less pain and scarring, less risk of infection and blood loss, a shorter hospital stay, and significantly faster recovery.
