Biography

Alex Moore is a board-certified Physician Assistant who was born and raised in Virginia Beach. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2011 and completed her Master of Public Health degree from George Washington University in 2015. Prior to pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant, Alex worked in the nonprofit, clinical research, and public health fields. She served as the Scientific Program Manager at the Melanoma Research Alliance in Washington, DC. Additionally, she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator coordinating immunotherapy clinical trials at the University of Virginia Cancer Center and as an Epidemiologist at the Virginia Department of Health. She received her Master of Physician Assistant degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2023 and joined Virginia Oncology Associates upon matriculation.

Alex works alongside Dr. Gradon Nielsen at the Brock Cancer Center and Princess Anne office locations.

In her free time, Alex enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
