Biography

In May 2011, Gladys completed her Master of Science in Nursing - Clinical Nurse Specialist-Critical Care Track at Liberty University. She went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Perdue University in December 2016 where she earned her post-Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. In July 2020, Gladys earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Liberty University.

Gladys has been practicing as an APP in Hematology/Medical Oncology since 2016. Prior to her current role Gladys, being a military spouse, has worked in different focus areas such as Neonatal ICU, Cardiac Surgery ICU, Nursing Leadership, and leading teams and departments in Long Term Care Facilities. She is also passionate about education. Currently, Gladys is an Adjunct Faculty for both RN and LPN Programs at ECPI University in Virginia Beach.

In addition to her professional work and educational endeavors, Gladys loves being a wife and mother to her two school-age children. The family stays busy with travel, children’s sports and music, being outdoors, and arts & crafts. The family also volunteers with ForKids, a nonprofit organization in South Norfolk that provides emergency shelter to families and children.
