Biography

Lynn Kelly has worked as a Physician Assistant at Virginia Oncology Associates since 2004. She completed her degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in partnership with The Mayo Clinic and Gundersen Lutheran Hospital. Prior to pursuing a career in medicine, Lynn worked in cancer research as a biochemist. She completed a research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, in their Tumor Biology program, researching and publishing studies about the expression of a protein, Centrin, in breast cancer. She also worked under a Howard-Hughes fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, researching novel targets in cells exposed to cell damage/radiation.

While at VOA, Lynn has provided care to patients with a wide variety of hematology and oncology diagnoses. In addition to clinical medicine, she has been active in the education of patients, staff, and students. She developed a curriculum for students doing a clinical rotation in hematology/oncology.

Lynn is originally from Minnesota but has called Virginia home since 2002 when she moved here with her husband, Jody Kelly. They have raised 3 children in York County. Lynn is active in the community through participation in Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, church, Seaford Women's Club, Seaford Yacht Club, and many activities with her children. She enjoys the outdoors, travel, camping, hiking, boating, gardening, and walking her dog. She loves to cook and spend time with family and friends.
